Running for a Cause: MABC Trustees Go the Extra Mile in Santa Dash!

Merseyside Against Blood Cancers (MABC) is celebrating a fantastic fundraising achievement after two of its dedicated trustees, Founding Trustee Frank Donovan & Chair Abi Pointing, took part in the annual Santa Dash, surpassing their initial goal and raising an incredible £1,164 to support blood cancer patients in need!

The trustees laced up their running shoes and donned Santa suits to join hundreds of other festive fundraisers in Liverpool’s much-loved event. Their goal was to raise £1,000 to provide vital financial grants for blood cancer patients struggling with everyday costs—but thanks to the generosity of supporters, they exceeded expectations.

MABC provides financial assistance to blood cancer patients across Merseyside, helping them cover essential costs such as travel expenses for treatment, household bills, and other daily necessities during difficult times.

The success of this fundraiser means more patients will receive the support they need, especially as the cost of living crisis continues to impact vulnerable individuals.

With the success of the festive fundraising season, MABC hopes this achievement will inspire even more people to get involved in future fundraising efforts. Whether through participating in events, making donations, or spreading awareness, every contribution helps improve the lives of those affected by blood cancers.
